Ferries and hydrofoils — To reach the Sicilian islands, the main departure point is Milazzo (1h 30min from Catania) for the Aeolian Islands, and Trapani for Pantelleria and Lampedusa. In summer, hydrofoils are faster but need to be booked ahead.
